MY PRAYER AS A PARENT
Loving Father,
Thank you for the wonderful gift of my children. For their laughter and noise, their questions and stories, and the unique traits they each have.
Help me love them as You love me — with patience, compassion, and no conditions.
Let me see them as You see them, understand their hearts as You do, and forgive them as easily and quickly You do.
Give me strength on the long days, patience when I am busy, and tenderness even when I am exhausted. Teach me to guide them without controlling them, to correct them with gentleness, and show them Your love in all I do.
Shape my heart as I tend to theirs. And let our home be a place where love comes first.
Amen.
