A PRAYER FOR WISDOM AND GUIDANCE, BASED ON SCRIPTURE
O God of all Wisdom and Grace,
I come before you with a humble heart as I seek your guidance today.
Show me your ways, Lord, and teach me your paths. I have an important decision to make, and as I do so, I ask that you guide me in your truth and teach me.
Help me trust in you with all my heart, so that when I am confused, I do not lean on my own understanding but instead submit to you. For I know that it is you who make my paths straight.
When uncertainty clouds my mind, instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. Counsel me, with your loving eye that is always on me. When I turn this way or that, give me the gift of hearing your voice behind me, instructing me.
When things don’t go as planned, help me not to be anxious but to turn to you in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.
Make my steps firm. Even if I stumble, uphold me with your hand. Direct me to the right path and guide me as I make difficult decisions. And at all times, may your Word be a lamp for my feet, and a light to my path. Amen.
