Prayer for Mothers

A simple, heartfelt prayer for mothers everywhere, that we may never tire in tending to the little hearts in our care

Dear Lord,

Fill all mothers with an abundance of your love,
to carry on the work of tending to hearts, little and big.

Give them strength when the days are long,
the work is hard,
and the nights bring little rest.

Fill them with hope
when their repeated efforts
to teach and to guide bring no visible results.

Remind them that they are your hands
and your feet in this world,
and that even when no one sees them, you do.

Above all, help them remember
that their part is to sow the seeds
and water the plant.
It is you bring growth
and change of mind and heart.
